Mrs. Bowen is the current Principal at St. Stephen Martyr. Previously she taught 12 years at SSM, served two years as principal at St. Agnes and 7 years as principal at St. Gabriel. She received the 2003 Outstanding Principal of the year award for the Archdiocese of Louisville. Her educational background includes BAs in Elementary Education and Library Science from Eastern Kentucky University, a Masters degree in Reading as a Specialist from Univerisy of Louisville, and a degree in administration from Spalding University. |

Dora Beck

Dora Beck started the after school program at St. Stephens in August 1989 and developed a very successful summer program the following year. In 2001 she started our 4-year old preschool program. Before coming to St. Stephen Martyr she was the marketing manager for several retail chains. Dora attended Eastern Ky. University and has been married to her husband Tom for 25 years. They have two sons Dustin and Derek and three grandchildren. |

Eric Wheeler
Eric Wheeler serves as the Director of Music for the parish. He directs all adult and children's choirs and serves as the principal organist and pianist. Eric studied at the University of North Texas where he received his degree in Music Education. He has also studied organ and sacred music at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to his work at St. Stephen Martyr, Eric has taught K-8 music within the Archdiocese since 2000. |

Polly Gillespie

Polly Gillespie has been employed as the secretary of SSM Church since 1987. The duty which she most enjoys is greeting the parishioners and attending to their needs. She and her husband, Jim, have been married for 35 years. They have three wonderful daughters and two grandchildren. |

Marion Martin
|
Marion has been the bookkeeper at St. Stephen Martyr since July, 1991. Her primary duties include accounts payable, cash receipts, payroll, benefits and reporting to parish agencies and organizations. The most enjoyable part of her job is interacting with parishioners and other employees. She is married and has 3 children and 1 grandchild. She truly loves her job and the people here. |
