About Mrs. Carter

This is my 24th year at St. Stephen Martyr and all have been in first grade.  I love watching the kids learn new things and the interesting ways they look at life. I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education from the University of Louisville. 

I have one child, my daughter Delaney.  She was a student here and after her great education moved on to Assumption High School where she graduated last year.  She is now attending the University of Kentucky.  The Louisville fans at our home weren't excited about that, but she wanted to get out and be on her own.  I'll let you know how that goes.  

I'm looking forward to a great year!   I'm lucky to have Mrs. Mary Ellen Sant as my assistant.  She has helped me get the year started on track.  We should have a wonderful learning year.  I look forward to teaching the kids and watching them grow into readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists or anything they desire.  I appreciate all the support I get from partner teachers and parents.
