Week of May 9, 2008
5th grade math - worked on corrections to test, worksheet side with questions, we will measure angles in class tomorrow. We have been measuring angles and drawing angles in class and doing worksheets estimating the size of angles. Students practiced estimating the size so that they know if it is an acute or obtuse angle and that their measurement should be more or less than 90 degrees. We also practiced simplifying improper fractions.We will have a quiz on simplifying fractions in class Monday, and simplifying improper fractions on Tuesday.
6th grade math - worked on corrections to test and SRA. We continued to work on solving for the value of x in three different ways. Students are at various stages on this. We had a POD Friday solving 4 problems.
5th grade religion - Reviewed chapter 18 and played a game reviewing chapter 18. Students got their chapter 16 test back to get signed.
