(7th grade religion is down below)
Please note that I am trying to post homework a week at a time. Homework later in the week may change slightly depending on a variety of factors including how fast students pick up on the material, missed class time for things like assemblies, seeing that students do not need the extra practice etc. Also sometimes several homework assignments may be listed and it may be indicated that your child only has one of these assignments. This may be the case when students have differentiated homework assignments.
7th grade
7th graders are currently learning about cell reproduction. We are working on Chapter 4 which covers both Meiosis and Mitosis. They will also begin to learn about DNA and its structure and function.
7th grade homework for the week of 11/17/08
11/17/08 Finish section 1 fill-in-the-blank notes. 7A should also finish their cell instruction manuals.
11/18/08 Finish Worksheet sec 1 and sec 2
11/19/08 Finish lab questions ( Cell division and early development lab). 7B should also finish their Cell instruction manuals.
11/20/08 section 2 fill in the blank notes
11/21/08 Finish lab questions (Examining models of Chromosomes lab).
8th grade
8th graders are currently learning about Work, Power, Efficiency, Ideal Mechanical Advantage, and Simple Machines.

Extra credit opportunity: You may complete the following quizzes and email the answers to me (jmccauley@ssmartyr.org). You must score an 80% or above to earn the e.c. but if you do not score 80% you can take the quiz multiple times. You will only receive one extra credit per quiz, however.

7th graders are currently learning about the 7 sacraments.
11/17/08 Finish reading p 44-45 and list 5 important facts in your notes.
11/18/08 Study for quiz tomorrow.
11/19/08 7 sacraments quiz. Holy days of obligation cards due 11/25/08.
11/20/08 No homework

11/24/08-stewardship reflection number 1:
Students must:
1. Perform an act of stewardship
2. Write a one page reflection about what they did and what they learned.
3. get that reflection signed by a parent or guardian.
