7th grade Science
What we are learning: Students have finished learning about Science process skills that they will need throughout the year. They are currently working on learning about the Scientific method and the metric system. Very soon we will begin learning about the characteristics of living things.
Homework for the week of 9/7/10
9/7/10 No homework
9/8/10 Finish your Scientific method sheet.
9/9/10 Complete your metric system sheet.

8th grade science
What we are learning: 8th graders are learning to do dimensional analysis. They are learning to convert units of one type to another type. There are four levels of problems for this that will get slightly more complex as we go.

7th grade religion
What we are learning: We have taken a survey about our faith, taken a pre-test about Catholic beliefs, surveyed our books, and looked over items that will be graded.
8/25/10- book survey will be collected on 8/26/10. Most students completed this in class. 7H should finish their "Book about Jesus" outline papers by 8/26/10. These will be collected for a grade and will be worth 20 points.
8/26/10 7M should finish their "Book about Jesus" outline papers by 8/27/10. These will be collected for a grade and will be worth 20 points.
8/27/10 7th graders should finish their "Museum Tour Guide activity" if it was not finished in class. This will be collected for a grade on 8/30/10. It will be worth 10 points.
8/30/10 Gospel quiz Monday. Students will have a short quiz about the Sunday Gospel today. They can learn about this Gospel by attending mass at any Catholic church or can look up the information on the http://www.usccb.org/nab/ website by clicking on the date. Students have a handout which contains information about Gospel quizzes.
