Parish Life Ministry

The mission of the Parish Life Committee is to facilitate communications and guidance between the Parish Life subcommittees and the members of the Parish and Parish Council.

Alumni Committee

This group of graduates from SSM meet together to keep all of the past and present SSM alumni
informed and involved in their school.  They plan fun events to help current SSM students and
provide opportunities to reconnect with SSM.

Athletic Association Volunteer

This committee is responsible for recruiting coaches for all athletic teams and ensures that CSAA
rules are followed.  Members direct and provide financial support for all athletic programs.

Brown Bag Tuesday Morning Group

Senior members of the parish meet for socializing, entertainment, enrichment and visiting the
homebound.  This includes the Homemakers sewing group and 10:00, followed by a brown bag
lunch at 11:30 and card games at 12:00.

Caring Hands

Our purpose is to respond to the needs of people in our parish.  We make lap quilts, desk caddies,
white baptismal garments, hospitality baskets for newcomers, etc.

Fish Fry Helper - Seasonal

Each Friday during Lent the parish hosts fish fries in an effort to promote family fun and
fellowship.  Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, food preparation, serving and clean up.

Men of St. Stephen Martyr - MOSS Club

The MOSS Club is committed to Christian stewardship within the Roman Catholic tradition.  Our
mission is to assist the needs of the parish and school by sharing our resources.  We gather the third
Monday of each month in the Marteen Room and schedule various social and fund-raising events
    annually.

Quilters

Members gather weekly to make quilts for the parish summer picnic and for quilt shows.  No
experience is necessary to participate, as members are excited to share their artistic abilities.  We
meet at 9:30 Tuesday mornings in the Ministry House.
