Dear Lord,
Thank you for teaching me to be generous as you have been generous with me.
Thank you for showing me that all I am and have are gifts from you.
And that these gifts from you, Lord, are meant to be shared.
Show me the joys of generosity.
Help me to understand that others, perhaps unknown to me, depend on me for help.
Make me a gift to others in your name.
Amen.
This ministry assists in creating an environment for parishioners to Understand, Participate and Volunteer in the many activities and ministries of the Parish. We also try to create an environment for parishioners to share their Time, Talent and Treasure, and to establish an ongoing process to invite, recognize and thank all volunteers in all Parish ministries.
This organization welcomes new parishioners and connects them with our community. This may
include a welcoming phone call, sending a card, etc. Members also plan and participate in a
welcoming brunch/gathering (3 to 4 times annually) in which they present themselves and their
families to the new parishioner families in an effort to become acquainted with one another.
Members gather information from various organizations to keep parishioners informed about the
diverse groups and activities of the parish community. Included will be information regarding
Archdiocesan, local and statewide events that may touch our parish life. Some members help with
preparing the mailing while others do the layout and gathering of articles.
These group is responsible for creating a Power Point slide show for parish events and a calendar
that is shown on the monitor in the gathering space of the church. This requires a weekly Power
Point Presentation for two months of the year. The volunteers alternate each month.
The members of this committee assist with the set-up and serving of food, as well as cleanup
following parish gatherings and receptions.
This group facilitates communication and guidance between the Stewardship Sub-Committees and
the members of the Parish and Parish Council. This group hopes to create an environment for
parishioners to share their Time, Talent and Treasure, and to have ongoing ways to invite,
recognize, and thank all volunteers in all parish ministries. This group prepares all the stewardship
materials such as directories, mailings, and hospitality weekends to name a few.
